Korsika ralli toimub 21-23 oktoober. Ainus üllatus on Didier Aurioli osalemine Boziani Peugeot 307 WRC-ga. Ford pole veel valikut langetanud oma teise auto suhtes, kuid ilmselt sõidab sellega Kresta nagu ikka. Loomulikult on ka lahtine Peugeot teine piloot. Väga paljud meeskonnad on kohal kolme autoga. Huvitav on ka seik, et Urmo Aava autoks on märgitud lihtsalt Suzuki, ehk on lootust pääseda juba Swifti rooli?

Lugege teadet, mille olen siia allapoole kopinud. Lühidalt kokkuvõttes: Peugeot' tiimi juht ütleb, et ta rääkis Märtini manageriga, aga Märtin enne Parki matust ei ole otsustanud, kas ta osaleb oktoobris. Peugeot' tiim on palunud ajapikendust teise sõitja nimetamiseks Korsika rallil kuni 10. oktoobrini.
Team boss Jean-Pierre Nicolas has admitted he doesn't yet know if Markko Martin will return to the Peugeot team for the next round of the World Rally Championship in Corsica later this month.
The Estonian missed Rally Japan as he tries to come to terms with the death of co-driver Michael Park in an accident on the final leg of Wales Rally GB a fortnight ago, with Daniel Carlsson coming in to replace him after the team elected to compete in the event.
Speaking after Marcus Gronholm had secured an emotional victory dedicated to Park's memory, Nicolas admitted that Martin hadn't yet decided if he wanted to return to action and that the team had requested an extension from the FIA to name its second driver for the event.
"I spoke [on Saturday] with Marko's manager, Paul Turner, and today [Sunday] Markko says he doesn't want to make a decision before Michael's funeral on Thursday," he said. "This means we already sent a letter to FIA to ask for a waiver to postpone the nomination for our second driver for Corsica until next Monday 10 October."
Should Martin decide he isn't yet ready to make a return, Carlsson could yet see his run in the 307 extended to a second event.

Nagu ma aru saan on ta hetkel eratiimi masinaga aga kui Markko osalemisest loobub (mis on tõenäoline) siis saab ta tehase eest sõita.ahti159 kirjutas:Auriol sõidab erameeskonna wrc autoga.
Former world champion Didier Auriol is also competing in the event in a privateer 307 WRC run by the Bozian Racing team, and the Frenchman could be drafted into the works squad.

Markko Märtin teatas ametlikult, et ei osale tänavu enam WRC sarjas. Asfaldi rallidel asendab teda prantslane Nicolas Bernardi. Bernardi lõpetas mullu JWRC hooaja teise kohaga Renault-ga võites Monte Carlo ja Kataloonia rallid omas klassis. Tänavu juhib ta Prantsuse meistrivõistlusi 206 WRC roolis.

Väga raske on ennast tehasemeeskonda võidelda kui oled ise kõhklev. Parimal juhul on Märtini olukord praegu just kõklev, või on ta tuleviku suhtes juba eitava otsuse teinud!
Ma arvan, et enne Wales`i teadis iga tiimipealik kui tugev Märtin on, nüüd ei tea keegi! Või olla ka Markko ise.
